AREAS WE COVER
Roofers in Surrey, Middlesex and London: the areas we cover
Ten towns, the villages between them and the roads either side. If you are in Surrey, in Middlesex or on the south west edge of London, there is a fair chance we are working near you this week.
Why our patch stops where it does
GB Roofing works across Surrey, Middlesex and London. Most weeks that means somewhere between Chertsey and Cobham, with Woking, Lightwater and Bagshot the newest part of the patch. We stay close to home on purpose. It means we can look at a roof quickly, and come back if you ever need us again.

You get a roofer on the phone
Ring the number and you get Grant, the owner, not a call handler taking a message to pass on. Nobody has to pass your message on, and nothing gets lost between an office and a van.
He comes and looks properly, gets up there rather than squinting from the pavement, and tells you what he has found. He turns up when he says he will, and he tells you what needs doing before anything starts.

We know the houses round here
Work in one area for long enough and the roofs start to repeat themselves. The 1930s semis in Addlestone and West Byfleet with tired eaves and no ventilation. The Chertsey terraces with slate at the front and a felt roof over the back addition. The bigger Cobham and Oxshott roofs where the lead valleys do the hard work.
That matters most when we come to match tiles. Knowing which tile a road was built with often saves a hunt through reclaim yards, and stops a repair standing out like a patch.

Access, scaffolding and parking
Some roads around Esher and Cobham are tight for a scaffold lorry. Some Chertsey terraces have no side access at all, so everything comes through the house or over the roof. A few Weybridge properties need permission from a private estate before anyone puts a pole up.
We work all of that out at the estimate rather than on the morning we are due to start. It is the sort of thing that turns a three day job into a two week one if nobody thinks about it in advance.

And the villages in between
Roofs do not stop at a town boundary. A good part of our work is in the villages and hamlets that sit between the towns above, and we treat them exactly the same as anywhere else. No extra charge for being down a lane.
If you live in one of these, you are well inside our area:
- Ottershaw, Lyne, Longcross and Thorpe
- New Haw, Woodham, Row Town and Byfleet
- Pyrford, Wisley, Send and Ripley
- Horsell, Brookwood, Knaphill and Mayford
- Chobham, Windlesham, Sunningdale and Virginia Water
- Stoke D’Abernon, Downside, Effingham and Fetcham
- Claygate, Hinchley Wood, Thames Ditton and Long Ditton
- Hersham, Whiteley Village and Oatlands
Middlesex and the London side
North of the river crossings we cover the Middlesex towns: Staines, Ashford, Feltham, Sunbury, Shepperton, Laleham, Hampton, Teddington and Twickenham. A lot of that work is flat roofing on extensions and garages, and roofline replacement on houses of a similar age and build.
On the London side we work in Kingston, Surbiton, Chessington, Hampton Wick and the roads around them. It is the same journey for us as Esher or Cobham, so it is the same service and the same prices.

Woking, Lightwater and Bagshot, on the same line
Woking, Lightwater and Bagshot are the newest part of our patch, and they are covered on the main line, 01932 690 995, the same as everywhere else.
Same team, same prices, same guarantee as the rest of the patch. Ring 01932 690 995 and tell us the road you are on.
What covered actually means
Plenty of firms list a town on a website and then take three weeks to answer the phone. Covered, for us, means something you can hold us to.
- We come out and look. Prices are given after seeing the roof, not guessed from a description on the phone.
- Estimates are free and there is no call out charge for coming to look at a roof.
- No obligation. If it does not need doing yet, we will tell you that rather than sell you a roof.
- Leaks come first. Water getting in gets looked at before anything cosmetic.
- You can reach us Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
- Every new project is backed by a full guarantee, whichever town it is in.
- We clear up as we go and take the old materials away with us.

Not sure whether we cover you?
Ring and ask. It takes a minute, and if you are outside the area we will say so straight away rather than string you along. More often than not you are closer to us than you think.
Call 01932 690 995. You can also email grant@gbroofingservices.co.uk with your postcode and a photo of the problem, and we will tell you what we think before anyone comes out.
No call out charge for an estimate
Coming out to look and giving you a written price costs nothing and puts you under no obligation. That applies everywhere we cover, whether it is one slipped tile in New Haw or a full re-roof in Cobham. If the job can safely wait a year, we will tell you that too.

Questions
Common questions
We cover Surrey, Middlesex and London. The ten towns we work in most are Addlestone, Cobham, Weybridge, West Byfleet, Oxshott, Chertsey, Esher, Woking, Lightwater and Bagshot, plus the villages between them such as Ottershaw, Byfleet, Pyrford, Claygate, Horsell, Chobham and Windlesham. We also work across Staines, Sunbury, Shepperton, Kingston and Surbiton. If you are near any of those, ring and ask.
No. Estimates are free and there is no call out charge for looking at a roof, anywhere in the area we cover. There is no obligation to go ahead either. We come, we get up and look properly, we tell you what we think is wrong and what it would cost to put right. If it does not need doing yet, we say so.
No. Woking, Lightwater and Bagshot are covered on the main line, 01932 690 995. There is one number for the whole area we cover, so whichever town you are in you reach the same phone, the same team and the same prices.
Usually quickly, because we are rarely more than a short drive away. Water getting into a house comes before everything else on the list, and we will give you an honest answer on the phone rather than a vague promise. We are contactable Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. If we cannot get to you soon we will tell you, so you are not left waiting.
Almost certainly, yes. The lists on this page are the places we work most often, not a boundary. If you are somewhere between Chertsey and Cobham, out towards Bagshot, or on the Middlesex and London side around Staines or Kingston, give us a ring with your postcode and we will confirm it in a minute.
Yes. We work mainly on houses, but we also look after flat roofs and roofline on garages, workshops, shops and smaller commercial buildings across the same area. Fibreglass and felt flat roofing suits those buildings well. Tell us what the building is used for and when it can be out of action, and we will work around it.
Yes. Every new project we take on is backed by a full guarantee, in every town we cover. On fibreglass flat roofing we are a Restec trained and approved installer, so the roof can be registered with Restec for their 20 year materials guarantee. That guarantee comes from Restec, and is only available through installers they have trained and approved.
